US aircraft conduct airstrikes on Shabwa

SHABWA, Nov. 10 (YPA) – US aircraft reportedly carried out two airstrikes in Yemen’s Shabwa governorate on Monday, targeting suspected Al-Qaeda militants, local media sources reported.

According to the sources, an MQ-9 drone, believed to be American, struck a militant position in Wadi Khawra in the Merkhah As Sufla district of southwestern Shabwa.

The first strike hit a house, a subsequent strike a few minutes later struck a vehicle, the sources said

Local sources confirmed that the attacks left casualties though exact numbers have not been reported.
