Lion causes terror in Al-Turbah city of Taiz

TAIZ, Oct. 15 (YPA) – Activists widely circulated information indicating that a lion was roaming the city of Al-Turbah, the administrative center of Al-Shamayateen district in Taiz Governorate, sparking panic and extreme fear among residents.

A number of activists published a photo of the lion, claiming that it was taken yesterday morning, next to a house in the city, exacerbating the state of panic and confusion among residents who fear for their safety and that of their children.

The agency indicated that the lion came from the outskirts of the city. The agency was unable to verify the accuracy of the information and the photo circulating on social media platforms, and no clarification was issued by the Islah-affiliated authorities in Al-Shamayateen district.
