Meteorology warns of cold wave targeting mountainous areas

SANAA, Oct. 14 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning issued warnings to citizens on Tuesday of continued cold weather.

In its weather forecast, the center affirmed the cold wave would target the mountainous highlands of the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda, and northern Ibb. Minimum temperatures are expected to range between 4°C and 8°C.

It expected that scattered rain may be prevailed over parts of the provinces of Lahj, Taiz, Ibb, Rayma, and the Tihama Plain during the afternoon and evening.

The center warned fishermen and ship captains around the Socotra Archipelago and the Gulf of Aden of rough seas and high waves.
