Israeli occupation forces tighten measures at checkpoint in northern Jordan Valley

JORDAN Valley, Oct. 13 (YPA) – Israeli occupation forces (IOF) tightened military measures at the Tayasir military checkpoint leading to the northern Jordan Valley on Monday morning.

Palestinian sources reported that the occupation forces turned back more than 50 vehicles at the Tayasir checkpoint this morning and closed it according to a humiliating schedule it has recently imposed on citizens crossing into the Jordan Valley.

The Tayasir military checkpoint has been subject to restrictions on traffic into the Jordan Valley for more than two years.

The occupation forces close the checkpoint for periods of time, obstructing traffic through it. Recently, a schedule has been established for daily opening and closing of the checkpoint.
