GAZA, Oct. 12 (YPA) – A leading source in the Hamas movement confirmed on Sunday that the resistance factions have completed the census of live Israeli prisoners within the Gaza Strip and have distributed them to different points, in preparation for the start of their handover process under the recent ceasefire agreement.
The source explained that delegations from the resistance and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) will hold a meeting tonight to discuss the handover mechanism, which will take place across three different axes within the Strip according to precise security and humanitarian arrangements.
The source added that the movement has held intensive talks with mediators to improve the lists of Palestinian prisoners scheduled for release in the next phase of the agreement, noting that negotiations are ongoing despite what he described as the “Israeli occupation’s intransigence” regarding some imprisoned leaders.
The resistance factions reaffirmed their full commitment to implementing the agreement according to the agreed upon timeline, warning that any delay would be caused by “Israeli procrastinations.”
