Hamas: Prisoner lists submitted, awaiting final approval of names

GAZA, Oct. 09 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, announced it has submitted lists containing the names of the Palestinian prisoners to be released in exchange for Israeli captives, in accordance with the criteria outlined in the ceasefire agreement over the Gaza Strip

In a press release on Thursday, senior Hamas official Zaher Jabarin said that his Movement is “awaiting final agreement on the names of the Palestinian prisoner as a prelude to announcing them to the public through the Asra Media Office once all related procedures and understandings are finalized.”

Hamas reiterated that the issue of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails remains a top priority and vowed not to rest until every last prisoner is granted freedom.

Earlier in the day, Hamas announced that an agreement had been reached to end the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, ensure the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces, enable the flow of humanitarian aid, and facilitate a prisoner exchange.
