Hamas: Agreement reached to end Gaza war and exchange prisoners

GAZA, Oct. 09 (YPA) – The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, has announced that an agreement has been reached to end the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, ensure the withdrawal of Israeli forces, enable the flow of humanitarian aid, and facilitate a prisoner exchange.

This came in a statement released by the Movement at dawn Thursday, the 734th day of the Israeli genocidal war on Gaza.

Hamas said that this development came after its leadership and other factions participated in responsible and serious negotiations about US president Donald Trump’s proposal in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh.

The Movement  urged Trump, the countries guaranteeing the agreement, and all the Arab, Islamic and international parties to ensure that the Israeli government fully complies with the terms of the deal.

“We salute our great people in the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem, the West Bank and beyond, who have shown unmatched courage, heroism and honor in confronting the fascist occupation’s schemes against them and their national rights,” Hamas said.

Hamas highlighted that the sacrifices made by the Palestinian people would never go in vain, vowing to uphold its commitment to the national rights and to continue the struggle for liberation, independence, and the right to self-determination.
