Over two years, “Israel” has killed 894 Palestinian athletes in Gaza

GAZA, Oct. 07 (YPA) – Over two years of ongoing genocidal war in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli occupation army has killed hundreds of Palestinian athletes in attacks targeting both individuals and facilities.

According to the latest statistics from the Gaza-based Government Media Office, the occupation has killed 894 Palestinians participating in all sports since October 7, 2023.

Among the total killed are players, coaches, administrators, referees, and members of the boards of directors of various clubs.

The army has since destroyed 292 facilities also, stadiums, and gyms across the Strip, both directly and deliberately, according to data from the government office.

The Palestinian Football Association previously reported that the occupation had completely destroyed 184 sports facilities, out of the total number of targeted facilities.
