Palestinian factions shell Israeli army positions, gatherings across multiple axes in Gaza Strip

GAZA, Oct. 01 (YPA) – Palestinian resistance factions announced on Wednesday the execution of a series of shelling operations targeting sites and gatherings of Israeli occupation forces across multiple axes in the Gaza Strip.

In south of Khan Younis, Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, stated in a release that, in conjunction with Al-Quds Brigades, they shelled an Israeli army command and control post on the Mourag axis, south of Khan Younis city, using heavy mortar shells. They affirmed that direct hits were achieved at the site.

In west of Gaza City, Al-Mujahideen Brigades reported that their fighters targeted an Israeli occupation forces gathering on Tuesday using 60-caliber mortar shells in the Barcelona Park area of the Tal al-Hawa neighborhood, west of Gaza City. The Brigades indicated that their fighters returned safely after completing the mission.

These operations come within the context of the resistance escalating its attacks against the occupation forces and vehicles penetrating the Strip, concurrently with the continued intensive Israeli shelling of populated areas in Gaza and Khan Younis.
