Security director assaulted by 3 people in Mahra

MAHRA, Sept. 30 (YPA) – The security director of Qishn District in Al-Mahra Governorate, Abdullah Oushen Al-Jidehi, was violently assaulted on Tuesday by three individuals while he was at a gas station in the district.

Local sources reported that Al-Jidehi was assaulted by three individuals were on their car.

They severely beat him with sharp objects, causing serious and direct injuries to his head.

The sources explained that Al-Jidhi’s health condition required his immediate transfer by ambulance to Al-Ghaydah Hospital for medical treatment, while the exact circumstances of the incident and the motives behind it remain unclear.

The sources have not yet revealed the identities of the three perpetrators, as their fate remains unknown amid the strict security secrecy surrounding the details of the incident by the relevant authorities.

This incident sparked widespread astonishment in local circles in Al-Mahra, as it is viewed as a dangerous precedent in the governorate’s security record, especially after the spread of the Salafist “Homeland Shield” factions funded by Saudi Arabia earlier this year.
