Government Media Office in Gaza: Access to or exit from Al-Helou Hospital is impossible after it was bombed

GAZA, Sept. 29 (YPA) – Ismail Al-Thawabtah, director of the Government Media Office in Gaza, confirmed on Monday that the Israeli occupation army bombed Al-Helou Hospital in Gaza City with two shells and cut off its internet connection.

He explained that it was impossible to reach or leave Al-Helou Hospital, west of Gaza City, after it was bombed and the internet was cut off by the occupation.

Al-Thawabtah explained that the occupation is deliberately isolating Al-Helou Hospital from the outside world with the aim of stopping medical services provided to civilians in Gaza City.

He pointed out that the occupation army has killed 1,670 medical personnel and destroyed 197 ambulances as part of the ongoing war crimes since October 2023. It has also carried out 788 direct attacks on healthcare facilities and their personnel as part of the ongoing war crimes in Gaza since October 7, 2023.

The targeting of the hospital comes amid the occupation army’s ground deployment in several main axes in Gaza City, while continuing to bomb and detonate dozens of towers and hundreds of buildings and residential facilities in those areas, as part of its efforts to occupy the city and displace Palestinians from it.

During the past two weeks, the Israeli army has intensified its warning to Palestinians in Gaza City to leave and head towards the southern part of the Strip, especially the Al-Mawasi area, which houses about one million displaced Palestinians and lacks the most basic necessities of life. It extends from the west of Khan Yunis to the west of Rafah.
