ADEN, Sept. 29 (YPA) – The British maritime security firm, Ambrey, revealed on Monday that a new vessel had been targeted off the coast of Yemen.
According to the company’s statement, “We are aware of an incident 110 nautical miles southeast of Aden, Yemen,” without providing further details about the identity of the vessel or other specifics.
Meanwhile, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported receiving a message from the captain of a merchant vessel who witnessed “an impact in the water and smoke” 128 nautical miles southeast of Aden, confirming that an unusual incident had occurred in the vital shipping route.
Some media sources suggested that the incident could be part of operations carried out by Sanaa forces, as part of their blockade of Israeli-flagged vessels in support of Gaza. However, the Sanaa forces have not issued any statement regarding the incident as of this time.
