Intense Israeli bombardment targets various neighborhoods in Gaza City since dawn

GAZA, Sept. 23 (YPA) -Since dawn on Tuesday, Gaza City has been under heavy aerial and artillery bombardment that struck several neighborhoods, including Tel al-Hawa, southern and northern Rimal, al-Nasr, Sheikh Radwan, the Tunnel area, al-Daraj, and the Old City in al-Zaytoun. Thick plumes of smoke have risen, covering the city’s sky.

According to Palestinian sources, Israeli warplanes bombed a residential block near al-Samer junction in central Gaza City, damaging the Palestinian Medical Relief Society clinic.

Israeli military vehicles have also taken positions in southern Rimal, between UNRWA’s main headquarters and the Islamic University, along Tunis Street, and near the Jordanian field hospital, where explosive-laden vehicles were detonated in citizens’ homes in Tel al-Hawa and southern Rimal.

In addition, Israeli occupation forces positioned themselves near al-Oyoun junction in al-Nasr neighborhood, along al-Jalaa Street, and around Sheikh Radwan pool and the al-Sudaniya area north of Gaza City.

Meanwhile, the city’s western areas are witnessing heavy overflights of various Israeli aircraft, while the smell of gunpowder fills the air due to the ongoing bombardments and explosions that struck homes and buildings in multiple parts of the city.
