NEW YORK, Sept. 23 (YPA) – The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the French Republic, as co-chairs of the High-Level International Conference for the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and Implementing the Two-State Solution, issued a joint statement at the conclusion of the conference held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on September 22, 2025.
The statement was described as a historic and pivotal moment for peace and security in the Middle East.
The joint statement welcomed the recognition of the State of Palestine by France, the United Kingdom, Canada, and other countries, and called on other nations to join this path.
The statement also highlighted that ending the war in Gaza is a top priority, calling for the delivery of humanitarian aid and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, the Conference reaffirmed its rejection of any form of Israeli annexation of the West Bank, considering this a red line for the international community.
