TEHRAN, Sept. 11 (YPA) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry denounced the Zionist regime’s air strikes on Yemen that have killed at least 35 people in capital Sana’a.
In a statement released on Wednesday night, the Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the criminal attacks carried out by the Zionist regime on infrastructure and residential areas, including buildings belonging to two media outlets in Sana’a, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of several innocent citizens and media personnel.
The repeated aggressions of the Zionist regime against regional countries, alongside the ongoing violence and killing of civilians in the occupied Palestinian territories, not only undermine the internationally-recognized legal and normative foundations but also violate all basic ethical and humanitarian principles, the statement said.
It praised the continued solidarity of the Yemeni people with the oppressed Palestinian nation and expressed condolences for the deaths of innocent Yemeni citizens during the Israeli military aggression,
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iran emphasized the necessity of unity and cooperation among the Islamic countries to counter the expansionist and belligerent policies of the Zionist occupying regime, it added.
The ministry called on the United Nations Security Council and the international community to take urgent action to halt the military aggression and crimes of the Israeli regime.
