Israeli occupation issues military orders to evacuate Gaza residents

GAZA, Sept. 09 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation army issued military orders on Tuesday to immediately evacuate residents of Gaza City, north of the Gaza Strip, and head south via the Rashid corridor.

The occupation army announced its intention to launch “large-scale” military operations in the area, a dangerous escalation that exacerbates fears of widespread displacement.

This coincided with continued artillery shelling of various areas in the Gaza Strip. Israeli artillery targeted the center of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, at dawn today.

Israeli drones also opened fire on civilian homes, while Israeli forces continued to bomb residential areas and homes in northern and central Gaza, causing widespread destruction in the targeted neighborhoods.

In a related development, a number of citizens were injured as a result of Israeli airstrikes on an apartment building near the al-Qawqa roundabout in the al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City.
