Gaza Health Ministry calls for ‘urgent protection’ of hospitals amid Israeli evacuation orders

GAZA, Sept. 09 (YPA) – The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza issued an urgent appeal on Tuesday to the international community, the United Nations, and human rights and humanitarian organizations, calling for immediate protection of hospitals and medical teams operating in the Gaza Strip.

The ministry stressed the need to ensure safe access to healthcare facilities across Gaza Governorate, warning of a looming humanitarian catastrophe that threatens the lives of thousands of patients and wounded individuals if action is not taken immediately.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Israeli occupation military issued a blanket evacuation order for all areas of Gaza City. The order calls on all residents, from the Old City and Al-Tuffah neighborhood in the east to the coastline in the west, to evacuate southward to the Al-Mawasi area.
