NEW YORK, Spet. 06 (YPA) – The United Nations has reported that 3,000 cases of forced displacement of Palestinians from northern to southern Gaza were recorded in the past two days, a result of the escalating attacks by the Israeli occupation army on Palestinians in the strip.
In a press briefing last night, New York time, Stéphane Dujarric, Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, confirmed that “Israel is escalating its attacks on the Gaza Strip, forcing more citizens to be forcibly displaced.”
He noted that the Israeli escalation and targeting of civilian buildings are forcing more Palestinians in Gaza to be displaced repeatedly.
Dujarric also pointed out that “Israel” continues to obstruct and restrict the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza.
Regarding developments in the West Bank, Dujarric stated that 2,780 Palestinians have been injured by Israeli occupation forces and settlers since last January.
He highlighted that this represents a 39% increase in Israeli occupation attacks against Palestinians compared to 2024.
With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has continued to commit crimes of genocide, war, siege, and starvation in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023. As of today, this has resulted in the martyrdom of 64,368 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are children and women, and the injury of 162,367 others. This is an unofficial toll, as thousands of victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, with rescue and ambulance crews unable to reach them.
