Cuba condemns Israeli attacks on civilian facilities in Yemen

HAVANA, Aug. 26 (YPA) – The Republic of Cuba on Tuesday strongly condemned the Israeli attacks on civilian infrastructure in Yemen, calling them a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

In a statement this morning, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez said, “We strongly condemn the Israeli attacks on civilian facilities in Yemen.”

He affirmed that these Zionist attacks on Yemen are a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law and threaten peace efforts in the region.

On Sunday, “Israel” launched aggressive airstrikes on the capital, Sanaa, targeting the oil company station on 60th Street and the Hizyaz power plant south of the capital. The attacks resulted in 102 civilian casualties, including ten killed and 92 injured, among them seven children and three women, according to the latest statistics from the Ministry of Health in Sanaa.
