One killed in Israeli drone strike on motorcycle in southern Lebanon

BEIRUT, Aug. 21 (YPA) – A Lebanese man was killed in an Israeli drone strike in southern Lebanon early Thursday, in the latest violation of last year’s ceasefire, local media said.

The strike hit a motorcycle in the town of Deir Siryan, critically injuring the rider, who was later pronounced dead, the state news agency NNA reported.

The occupation warplanes also carried out an airstrike on the area between the towns of Ansar and Zrariyah in the south.

The fresh attack came hours after at least seven people were injured in an Israeli drone strike targeting a car in al-Housh area, east of Tyre late Wednesday.

Media outlets also reported that the occupation fired a ground-to-ground missile from within the occupied territories toward the “al-Ras” area in Deir al-Zahrani (Nabatieh)

The occupation Israeli warplanes were flying heavily and at low altitude over areas in southern Lebanon, according to the NNA .
