Yemen imposes new security equation to confuse Western alliances

SANAA, Aug. 21 (YPA) – Verisk Maplecroft, a British global risk intelligence company, has confirmed that the Sanaa-based armed forces’ military capabilities remain intact, effective, and even advanced, despite the intensive military campaigns launched by Israeli-backed US-UK coalitions.

The company noted that these operations had failed to achieve their primary objective of neutralizing or deterring these capabilities.

This resilience was demonstrated in practice by expanding the scope of Yemeni operations and increasing the selectivity of targets, posing new challenges to the security of international navigation.

“In an attempt to address this growing threat, some shipping companies have resorted to unconventional methods, exploiting religious sensitivities by promoting the fact that their ships’ crews are of Muslim nationalities in an effort to avoid being targeted,” the company explained. However, these attempts have not proven effective so far.”

On the operational front, Yemeni missile and drone attacks have significantly disrupted air traffic within “Israel”, while the port of Umm al-Rashrash, known as Eilat, only Israeli seaport on the Red Sea, has almost completely ceased receiving ships due to the Yemeni naval campaign, representing significant economic and strategic pressure.

Given this reality, reports have revealed that the Israeli government would be in direct contact with international insurance companies to negotiate war risk coverage, a move that may reflect the prevailing level of concern about the continuation and escalation of these threats.

This concern stems not only from current threats, but also from the strategic reach of Yemeni capabilities, which possess weapons exceeding over 2,500 kilometers, with no field or intelligence indications of any Western or regional ability to decisively deter them.
