HADRAMOUT, Aug. 15 (YPA) – Hadramout tribes declared on Friday the mobilization of all their armed forces following threats against the head of the “Tribal Alliance,” Amr bin Habrish al-Ali.
The mobilization came after threats were made by the head of the Saudi-formed Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad al-Alimi, and also head of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council Aidarous al-Zubaidi.
A number of tribes confirmed in statements that the directives of the so-called Attorney General, Qaher Mustafa, to issue an order for the forced arrest of the leader “Bin Habrish,” would open an armed confrontation in the province.
Statements and declarations by tribal sheikhs indicated that Hadhramout would not break its dignity following the announcement of so-called “self-rule” and the curbing of natural resources plunder.
They emphasized that anyone who may dare to attack the alliance and its symbols should know that the response would be decisive and swift.
On Friday, the so-called “Hadramout Protection Forces”, affiliated with the tribal alliance, whose first brigade was formed last month with Saudi support and funding, announced that it had raised the armed readiness in anticipation of any potential misadventures by the STC-affiliated factions.
Oil-rich Hadramout is being witnessed an unprecedented conflict between the UAE, which controls the coastal districts, and Saudi Arabia, which takes over the Hadramout Valley and Desert using local tools. Services have been used as a weapon to incite chaos in the service of foreign interests and agendas.
