Rains with varying intensity expected on Yemen areas

SANAA, Aug. 13 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning predicted on Wednesday rain with varying intensity over parts of the provinces of Yemen.

In its weather bulletin, the center affirmed that the scattered rains may prevail over Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Rayma, Mahwit, Bayda, Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, Hajjah, Sanaa and Saada.

It stated that the weather in the coastal areas would be clear to partly cloudy, hot, and humid, with the possibility of scattered rain over parts of the southern and western coasts.

The center noted that strong to very strong winds over the Socotra Archipelago and the eastern coasts would cause sea disturbances.

It warned citizens in mountainous areas where rainfall expected to occur of rains and to avoid crossing or staying in floodwaters during and after rainfall.

The center called on motorists to drive carefully on mountain roads as a result of rock and mudslides and reduced visibility due to the rainfall.
