TEHRAN, Aug. 09 (YPA) – Iranian media reported that authorities executed a spy named Roozbeh Wadi, a nuclear scientist accused of spying for the Israeli Mossad and transmitting sensitive and classified information related to Iran’s nuclear program during the so-called “12-Day War.”
According to local media reports, Wadi was executed after completing all legal procedures, including the Supreme Court’s confirmation of the sentence. His charges focused on espionage and leaking information about another Iranian nuclear scientist killed in Israeli attacks in June 2025.
Details indicate that Wadi was an employee at a research institute affiliated with the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran and held a doctorate in nuclear engineering from Amir Kabir University. He also contributed to a research paper with two nuclear experts who were later killed during the aforementioned war with “Israel.”
According to reports, Wadi was recruited by Mossad agents online, meeting them five times in Vienna, and underwent specialized technical training to learn how to use secure communication systems to transmit classified information.
