Wide demonstration in Chicago, America, denounces genocide in Gaza

WASHINGTON, July 27 (YPA) – Hundreds of people demonstrated in the American city of Chicago to protest the ongoing Zionist aggression in the Gaza Strip, demanding an end to the war of genocide perpetrated by the Zionist occupation against the Palestinian people.

The demonstration was called by the Chicago Coalition for Justice in Palestine, and prominent American organizations, including the US Palestinian Community Network (USPCN) and American Muslims for Palestine (AMP), participated. Protesters gathered on Michigan Avenue.

Participants held up signs condemning the international silence and denouncing the Zionist blockade of Gaza. A number of demonstrators banged pots and pans to express their anger at the worsening famine, accusing the United States and Egypt of complicity in the blockade.

Shocking scenes from Gaza showed tragic humanitarian conditions. The bodies of people, including children, were seen emaciated by starvation, as if they were skinned bones. Some collapsed in the streets from exhaustion, dehydration, and severe malnutrition.
