GAZA, July 27 (YPA) – The Government Media Office announced, on Sunday, that the Gaza Strip needs 600 relief trucks daily and 250,000 cartons of milk per month for infants, and the radical solution is to open the crossings and break the siege immediately.
In a statement, the office said that the Gaza Strip is facing a real humanitarian disaster with the continuation of the stifling siege, the closure of the crossings, and the prevention of the flow of aid and baby milk for 148 consecutive days.
It stressed that the Gaza Strip needs 600 relief trucks daily, including baby milk, humanitarian aid, and fuel, to meet the minimum needs of the population.
“Despite circulating figures about the intention to bring in dozens of trucks, this step- if implemented- remains limited and not sufficient to end the famine,” the office added.
It stressed that the Strip needs 250,000 cartons of milk per month to save infants from the policy of hunger and malnutrition that has invaded their weak bodies throughout the past harsh period.
“The radical and urgent solution is to break the siege immediately, open the crossings unconditionally, and ensure the permanent and complete flow of baby milk, aid, and fuel, far from patchwork or temporary partial solutions,” the office added.
