ADEN, July 26 (YPA) – The UAE-funded Southern Transitional Council (STC) has warned against any disregard or belittling of the southern issue by its partners in the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) and the coalition-affiliated Aden government.
Member in the STC, Fadl al-Jaadi, stressed on Saturday that ignoring the southern issue would push Yemen into the abyss of bloody wars and instability, indicating that the resulting peace would be nothing more than a “fragile peace unable to endure”.
In a post on X, Al-Jaadi stated that neglecting the demands of the southern cause would only lead also to an increase in the rate of terrorism that may threaten the region, in an explicit and clear threat to neighboring countries with terrorist elements that have taken some of the southern provinces of Abyan, Shabwa and Hadramout as their stronghold.
The STC has become an official partner of the forces that harmed the southern issue, through the so-called “Riyadh Consultations, which were held in Saudi Arabia at the end of March 2022, and the announcement of the formation of the PLC, headed by Rashad Al-Alimi, and the government headed by Maeen Abdulmalik.
