Dozens of gas tankers stopped in Abyan in protest against additional fees

ABYAN, July 20 (YPA) – Dozens of domestic gas tankers stopped at the weighing point in Shaqra area, in protest against the imposition of new fees for weight in Abyan Governorate, which is under coalition control, a local source reported.

The source explained that the weighing point in Shaqra resumed operations yesterday evening, after a period of suspension, and began imposing a fee of ten thousand riyals on gas tanker drivers to pass.

It also stipulated that they enter the weighing point again and pay the fees, even though the shipments were loaded with quantities previously weighed by the gas company.

Drivers warned against the continuation of such measures, which could threaten to obstruct the distribution of domestic gas in a number of governorates.
