Leader in Islamic Jihad Movement: “Surrender is not in resistance’s dictionary”

GAZA, July 13 (YPA) – Deputy Secretary-General of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Movement, Mohammed al-Hindi, said on Saturday that the resistance’s options are limited, and what is being offered to it aims to force surrender.

In a statement monitored by the Sanad News Agency, al-Hindi explained that the Israeli occupation is waging psychological warfare, stressing that “the resistance will not accept any agreement that leads to surrender.”

He also pointed to the legendary steadfastness shown by the Palestinian people, not just resistance.

Al-Hindi added that the Palestinian negotiating delegation is showing great flexibility in its efforts to halt the aggression against the Gaza Strip, but he explained that “Israel” has misunderstood this flexibility and assumed it is capable of eliminating the resistance.

He stated that “Israel” is unable to achieve further progress without paying a heavy price in the form of depleting its forces, emphasizing that time is on the side of the resistance and that it will not submit to Israeli surrender plans.

Al-Hindi affirmed that the occupation is living in the illusion that it is capable of forcing surrender, when in fact, time is not on its side.

He pointed out that the Israeli occupation is seeking to force them to accept only 40% of Gaza’s territory, noting that Israeli intransigence is preventing a comprehensive cessation of aggression through a comprehensive agreement.

Al-Hindi continued, saying, “The agreement we are discussing must contain real guarantees and include a clear Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, along with a mechanism that regulates the distribution of aid and prevents the risk of death and new tragedies like the Morag axis.”

He pointed to the media misinformation campaign spearheaded by Trump and Netanyahu to place the blame for the failure of the negotiations on the Palestinian side, with repeated statements indicating an agreement was imminent and claims that all disputes would soon be resolved.

Al-Hindi emphasized that “these claims do not reflect the reality and are part of a strategy to deceive international public opinion and provide political cover for the Israeli occupation.”

Since October 7, 2023, with American and European support, the Israeli occupation army has continued to commit what has been described as crimes of genocide against the population of the Gaza Strip.

These crimes have so far resulted in the deaths of 57,882 Palestinian civilians, the majority of whom are women and children, and the injury of 138,095 others. As the bombardment and siege continue, the toll remains uncertain due to the difficulty of reaching the thousands of victims still buried under the rubble or on the streets, where ambulance and rescue teams are unable to reach them.
