Germany accuses China of targeting one of its military aircraft with laser

BERLIN, July 08 (YPA) – Germany on Tuesday accused China of targeting a German civilian aircraft employed on a European Union naval mission in the Red Sea with a laser from a People’s Liberation Army Navy ship.

According to the German Foreign Office, the incident took place near the coast of Yemen.

The plane was a reconnaissance aircraft, and the laser came from a Chinese vessel.
