New electricity crisis hits districts of Hadramout

HADRAMOUT, July 06 (YPA) – Hadramout Valley Electricity announced, on Sunday, that all districts under the control of the coalition have entered a new power outage crisis.

In a statement, it explained that the decline in electricity service hours due to the reduced generating capacity of the Petro Masila gas power plant, which led to a reduction in production by about 15 megawatts.

The electricity stated that the process of reducing power generation about ten days ago caused the accumulation of the deficit and a decline in the stability of the electricity service.

It indicated that the deficit will continue until the gas flow is restored to its normal levels to ensure the station’s return to full operational capacity, amid accusations by the company, Petro Masila, of fabricating the crisis.

The valley districts are witnessing local tensions and conflicts to implement foreign agendas between the Hadramout Tribal Alliance, loyal to Saudi Arabia, and the Southern Transitional Council (STC), affiliated with the UAE, amid STC factions threat to invade Hadramout Valley with 300,000 recruits, following the alliance’s move to recruit its own factions with support and funding from Riyadh.
