GAZA, June 29 (YPA) – The Israeli occupation forces suffered new casualties on Saturday in a series of attacks that the Brigades of al-Qassam and Al-Quds carried out against military vehicles and Israeli soldiers in various areas of the Gaza Strip.
These military losses came amid Hebrew reports of a serious security incident facing the Israeli forces in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip.
Earlier in the day, Al-Qassam Brigades announced in a statement that it had targeted four Israeli engineering excavators with Yasin 105 missiles, directly catching them on fire in the town of Abasan al-Kabira, east of Khan Yunis.
The statement confirmed that Al-Qassam fighters observed a number of dead and wounded among occupation soldiers at the targeted site, noting that Israeli helicopters landed at the site to evacuate the wounded.
On Friday, the Qassam Brigades affirmed that its fighters had targeted a Merkava tank and a D9 military bulldozer with two highly explosive landmines in the same town.
For its part, the Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement, reported detonating a highly explosive device targeting an Israeli military vehicle on Street 5, north of Khan Yunis.
It indicated that the operation came as part of the ongoing field attrition of the occupying forces advancing inside the Strip.
East of Gaza City, north of the Strip, the Brigades announced that its forces had captured an Israeli reconnaissance aircraft while carrying out intelligence missions in the skies over the Shuja’iyya neighborhood, east of Gaza City.
Al-Quds Brigades also Brigades released a footage showing the moment they targeted a concentration of Israeli soldiers and vehicles with mortar shells in the vicinity of Talat al-Muntar, east of the Shuja’iyya neighborhood.
