Al-Qassam Brigades claims responsibility for ambush “Maan” in Khan Yunis

GAZA, June 25 (YPA) – The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, claimed responsibility for an ambush in Khan Yunis that killed seven Israeli soldiers and wounded 14 others.

In a statement on Wednesday, Hamas stated that the operation was carried out on Tuesday, destroying two Israeli personnel carriers south of Khan Yunis using explosive devices.

It reported that its fighters targeted the two vehicles, the first with a “Shawaz” explosive device, completely destroying it, and the second with another explosive device near the Ali bin Abi Talib Mosque, inflicting direct losses on the targeted force.

The statement added that the Israeli air force was forced to intervene and evacuate the wounded and dead in an operation that took hours, indicating the extent of the losses.

This morning, the Israeli occupation army acknowledged the deaths of an officer and six soldiers in battles with the resistance in Khan Yunis.

The Israeli occupation army radio reported that the ambush occurred at 5:30 PM, when an explosive device detonated in a Puma armored personnel carrier belonging to the combat engineering forces, setting it on fire.
