GAZA, June 25 (YPA) – The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, reported on Tuesday that it had launched an artillery and mortar attack on Israeli occupation forces north of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip.
The statement issued by the Al-Quds Brigades stated that they targeted Israeli soldiers near Al-Muhandis Hall and Al-Badaw Street in the Western Satar area.
The statement explained that fighters observed the shells falling among soldiers, prompting the movement of military vehicles and the provision of air cover by helicopters to evacuate the dead and wounded from the site of the attack.
For its part, the Al-Qassam Brigades announced in another statement that its forces had succeeded in setting up an ambush for Israeli forces, resulting in casualties among their ranks in Khan Yunis.
The Al-Qassam Brigades’ statement indicated that they targeted a Zionist force inside a house with a Yasin 105 rocket and an RPG and continued the attack with machine guns in the old licensing area south of Khan Yunis.
