Tehran responds to Trump’s allegations: No negotiations or peace under duress, and we will respond to any threat
SANAA, June 18 (YPA) – The Iranian mission to the United Nations denied, on Wednesday, US President Donald Trump’s claims that “Tehran’s representatives have requested to visit the White House for direct talks.”
The Iranian mission said on its X account: “No Iranian official has ever asked to grovel at the doors of the White House. The only thing more disgusting than his lies is his cowardly threat to get rid of Iran’s Supreme Leader.”
The mission stressed that Iran will respond to any threat with a counter-threat and to any action with equivalent action, stressing that Tehran will not accept peace under duress, and certainly not with a former warmonger.
Previously, Trump had said that “Iran had reached out to the United States and proposed coming to the White House for negotiations.”
