Iran publishes first image of Revolutionary Guard commander after his death

TEHRAN, June 16 (YPA) – Iranian media published on Sunday a photo of the body of the commander of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Major General Hossein Salami, accompanied by his family.

These media outlets reported that Salami’s family, along with millions of Iranians, are preparing to bury him next Tuesday along with his fellow martyred commanders.

Reports indicated that Salami was martyred in surprise Israeli airstrikes carried out two days ago on Iran, with US support, in an attempt to target the Iranian nuclear program and the anti-Israel Islamic revolutionary regime.
