Three days without food: Starving girl faints in coalition-held Taiz

TAIZ, June 08 (YPA) – A girl collapsed in one of the streets of Taiz city, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition forces, on Saturday due to severe hunger.

Activists shared a video on social media showing a girl lying on the ground in one of the streets of Taiz after being exhausted by hunger.

The girl told her rescuers that she and her family had not eaten any food for three days.

Activists held the coalition-backed government responsible for the deteriorating living conditions in Taiz, considering what happened today to the girl who collapsed from extreme hunger as a reflection of the poverty and deprivation experienced by the people of the city.

They attributed this to the policies of the pro-coalition government, which has caused an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in Taiz and all areas under its control.

Areas under the control of the coalition forces in Taiz have been witnessing continuous protests against the worsening living conditions and the ongoing deterioration of basic services, amid the pro-coalition government’s failure to address the situation.
