Senior official found in poor health in Aden

ADEN, June 07 (YPA) – Residents found Anis Al-Jardhami Al-Yafei, a head of the Federation of South Arabia, in a bad condition on Saturday after being kidnapped by the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions in Aden city, south of Yemen.

Human rights sources in the city confirmed that citizens found the body of the kidnapped Al-Yafei, in a deserted area two months after his abduction. He bore signs of torture and was in poor health as a result of the brutal torture he was subjected to in a STC prison.

The sources said that Al-Yafei was transported to a private hospital in Aden.

They noted that Al-Yafei was kidnapped by STC factions in early April after his home was raided by members of the leader Jalal Al-Rubaie following his criticism of the poor living and service conditions in Aden.
