Dr. Al-Barsh: Only 13 hospitals are operating in out of 38

GAZA, June 04 (YPA) – Director General of the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Munir al-Barsh, confirmed, on Wednesday, that only 13 hospitals are operating at a minimum level, without sources of electricity and water, out of 38 hospitals that were operating in the Strip before the aggression.

Al-Barsh said in press statements: “Out of 103 primary care centers, the Israeli occupation destroyed 27 centers.”

“The occupation destroyed the infrastructure, bombed residential complexes, and killed entire families,” explaining that the occupation committed 13,500 massacres against the people of Gaza, he added.

Dr. Al-Barsh continued: “75% of the clinical capacity was lost in the Strip’s hospitals due to the occupation’s targeting.”

The Director of Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza, Dr. Muhammad Abu Salmiya, confirmed that “We have become completely unable to provide blood units for the wounded and sick, and youngs and men come to us to donate then we discover that they themselves need a blood transfusion due to severe malnutrition.”
