GAZA, May 27 (YPA) -A number of Palestinian civilians were killed and others injured on Tuesday in a series of airstrikes carried out by Israeli occupation forces across different areas of the Gaza Strip.
According to local sources, one civilian was killed and several others were wounded following an Israeli strike on a home in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
Another strike on Beit Lahia, in the northern part of the Strip, killing one person.
Medical officials confirmed that a man succumbed to injuries sustained during an earlier airstrike on Al-Amal neighborhood in western Khan Younis.
Additionally, Suleiman Wajeeh Qishta was pronounced dead after succumbing to wounds he had sustained days ago in a separate attack in the same city.
Eastern Gaza City witnessed a series of heavy bombardments by Israeli warplanes, while artillery shelling from Israeli ground forces also persisted in several areas.
Since dawn on Monday, 89 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli military attacks across Gaza.
Yesterday, the occupation forces committed two massacres: the first when they struck the Fahmi Al-Jarjawi School, sheltering displaced civilians in Gaza City’s Al-Daraj neighborhood, killing 36 people, including six children. The second occurred when a home in Jabalia Al-Balad, north of Gaza, was bombed, killing 19 civilians.
