Hezbollah Secretary-General praises Yemeni model, hints at options to confront Israeli aggression

BEIRUT, May 26 (YPA) – Hezbollah Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem said that Yemen forced America to withdraw and sacrificed for Gaza, Palestine, Arab and human dignity, and America was unable to do anything with it.

This came in a speech he delivered Sunday evening on the occasion of Resistance and Liberation Day.

Regarding the Lebanese issue, Sheikh Naim confirmed that the resistance arose out of a necessity for confrontation because Lebanon cannot remain without confronting the enemy. He added that “resistance is the natural solution when the army is unable to do so, and it is the support for the army when it is capable.”

Sheikh Naim Qassem stated that America is overstepping the boundaries of Lebanese sovereignty and will not be able to achieve Israeli occupation conditions unless it can achieve them in war.

“Israel’s conditions will not be met, and no one is threatening us, and we are not threatening. We have two choices: either victory or martyrdom, and we are prepared,” he affirmed.

Sheikh Naim held America responsible because it is the one sponsoring the continuation of the aggression, just as it has sponsored it in Lebanon, in Gaza, and everywhere else.

He pointed out that if the state fails to perform its duties, other options exist, stressing that “the resistance does not remain silent in the face of injustice and does not surrender.”
