ABYAN, May 21 (YPA) – The so-called “the Sixth Brigade Support Camp,” affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council (STC) loyal to the UAE, witnessed intense clashes in the past hours due to disputes over the division of revenues from the sale of weapons and ammunition from the camp.
According to sources, fierce internal clashes erupted between officers of the brigade in the Al-Salih Buildings area near Al-Wahda Stadium in Zinjbar city. The disputes centered on revenue-sharing from the sale of the brigade’s weaponry and ammunition.
The sources reported that three officers were injured in the clashes: Fadhl Mohammed Mathna Al-Dhalei, the deputy commander of the second battalion; Kamal Al-Khanjari Al-Dhalei, the brigade’s security officer; and Mahmoud Abdullah Al-Dhalei, a company commander.
The brigade is reportedly experiencing chaotic conditions following the resignation of its commander, referred to as Major General Ali Nasser Ma’qar, from his position.
