SANAA, May 14 (YPA) – French President Emmanuel Macron described, on Wednesday, what the Israeli occupation government headed by Benjamin Netanyahu is doing in the Gaza Strip as “shameful.”
Macron said in his statements: “What Benjamin Netanyahu’s government is doing today in Gaza is unacceptable. It is shameful and disgraceful,” he said.
“It is not up to the Prime Minister to determine whether it is a matter of genocide, but up to historians,” he added.
Macron continued during an interview on TF1 channel: “I was one of the few leaders who went to the border” between Egypt and Gaza, and it is one of the worst things I have ever seen.”
He expressed his regret that all aid provided by France and other countries is blocked by the Israelis.
Macron also considered the issue of reviewing cooperation agreements between the European Union and Israel open, he said.
The French Foreign Ministry condemned Israel’s plan to control the Gaza Strip, which the occupation announced on Monday.
