SANAA, May 14 (YPA) – The Sanaa government announced on Wednesday the imminent arrival of the first flight to Sanaa International Airport, hours after announcing the completion of the airport’s resumption of operations following the Israeli attacks.
Sanaa Airport’s Director Khaled Al-Shayef confirmed in a post on his X account that the first UN flight is expected to arrive at the airport today, Wednesday.
Al-Shayef also posted a photo bearing the World Food Programme logo.
The Sanaa government officially announced, through the minister of transport and the airport director, the completion of the restart of Sanaa International Airport after it was targeted by Israeli airstrikes last week.
It is noteworthy that Sanaa Airport was violently targeted by Israeli occupation aircraft on May 6, against the backdrop of Yemen’s position in support of Gaza.
