SANAA, May 12 (YPA) – Head of the Prisoners’ Affairs Committee in Sanaa, Abdul-Qader al-Mortada, announced on Monday that the United Nations had canceled a round of negotiations on a prisoner swap, which was scheduled in last April.
He said in a post on X platform that the reason was made after Islah Party rejected to participate in the swap.
“The reason they refused to attend the tour was that they were waiting for an American military decision against us,” al-Mortada added. “Now, their dreams have evaporated, we hope that negotiations will resume to move this humanitarian file forward.”
