Meteorology warns of heat-wave sweeping desert areas

SANAA, May 11 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology and Early Warning warned citizens on Sunday of a heat-wave sweeping the desert areas and the coastal plains of Yemen.

In its weather bulletin, the center affirmed that relatively clear and dusty weather in the desert areas, with maximum temperatures ranging between 35-41 degrees Celsius.

the center forecast that the weather would be clear to partly cloudy in the highlands during the night and early morning, with the possibility of scattered showers in parts of the western and southwestern highlands.

It pointed out that the weather in the coastal areas would be clear to partly cloudy, warm and humid, with light to moderate winds reaching a maximum speed of 22 knots.
