Head of STC kidnapped in Abyan

ABYAN, May 07 (YPA) – The head of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) branch in Shabwa governorate, Lahmar Ali Lswad, was kidnapped in Maudiyah district of Abyan province, and he was taken to an unknown location, local news reported,on Wednesday.

Southern sources reported that the head of the Southern Transitional Council, Laswad, was kidnapped by members of the Security Belt in Maudiyah district, while he was on his way to Aden.

The sources explained that the members stopped the leader Laswad at one of their armed checkpoints and took him to an unknown location, without any statement denying or confirming the circulating news.
