Israeli officer killed in Gaza

ALQUDS, May 05 (YPA) – One of Israeli occupation’s officers was killed on Sunday in a run-over accident that occurred during an “operational” mission around the Gaza envelope.

In a statement, the occupation forces’ spokesperson stated that the killed is named as Sgt. Maj. (res.) Dejen Daniel Sahalo, 41, of the Combat Engineering Corps’ 5067th Battalion, from Rehovot settlement.

The spokesperson added that the incident occurred during military activity in the Gaza Strip, without reporting more details on the incident.

He pointed out that the officer’s family had been informed of the incident.
