Civil Defense Authority recovers two girls’ bodies in Sanaa

SANAA, May 03 (YPA) – Two girls’ bodies were recovered on Saturday from the Al-Ashash Stream of Bani Matar district of Sanaa, after sweeping away by floods as a result of heavy rains.

The Civil Defense Authority’s declared that a rescue team recovered the bodies, adding the accident came while their vehicle was passing through the waterway.

The Civil Defense Authority warned citizens of the danger of being present or attempting to cross flood paths and watercourses during rainfall.

It emphasized the need to avoid risking crossing valleys and ravines during flowing waterways, given the imminent danger such actions pose to lives.

The Authority also called on citizens to take all necessary precautions and adhere to safety instructions during the rainy season to avoid a recurrence of such tragic incidents.
