Two earthquakes recorded in Jahran, Dhamar

DHAMAR, May 01 (YPA) – The stations of the Earthquake and Volcano Monitoring and Study Center in Dhamar recorded two consecutive earthquakes on Thursday, 9 km north of the city of Ma’bar, the center of the Jahran District.

The head of the center, Engineer Mohammed Hussein Al-Houthi, stated in a post on his Facebook page that the first earthquake measured 2.5 on the Richter scale, while the second tremor measured 2.0. He explained that the two mild tremors occurred at 9:29 and 9:51 a.m.

No reports of human or material losses have been reported so far.
